Hey Levo crew,
Here’s what’s going down this week at the gym:
1. New Cycle Starts Now
We’re kicking off a fresh training cycle, and it’s coming in hot with some volume. Squat and bench press will be in sets of 8 reps, across 5 working sets. That’s no joke—pace yourself. Week 1 is the time to dial in your form and set yourself up to hit hard in Week 4.
Deadlifts? You’ll see 3 reps, but coaches will be enforcing a 10-second descent on the last rep. The goal here isn’t to max out—it’s about core control and stability under tension. Be smart with your loading.
2. A Transition in Coaching
Antoinette is moving on from day-to-day coaching, but she still holds an ownership stake and will likely be around in some capacity. So, not a goodbye—more of a “see you around.”
In the meantime, you’ll notice a few new (and possibly familiar) faces. Cory Buerck is stepping in to help with morning classes. He’s been coaching for over a decade and currently heads up Strength & Conditioning at St. Mary’s. We’re lucky to have him join us during this transition.
3. Summer Mode: Activated
Summer’s here, and whether your goals lean more “beach body” or “tie your shoes without groaning,” we’re all in this to level up. Keep the intensity high, support your crew, and stay consistent. That’s where the wins stack up.
